It is a 77 620 it is has a 2 bulb system for each side of the rear turn signals, and for the right rear turn signal, the inner bulb works the outer bulb does not.
The back right turn signal won't work. Front right bulb glows but does not blink. I removed right rear bulb and it looked fine, replaced bulb anyway but still does not work. Left side working fine. socket looked good Where can I look? Thanks Neil
I had a Datsun Frankenstein motor built for me. Bored Z24 block, W53 head, dual 40 mikunis. Approximately 1400 miles on engine. I did a compression test, #1 170psi, 2# 155psi, 3# 125psi, #4 115psi. Gas mileage started at about 18.5 mpg dropped to 15 mpg. What should I be looking for?
Thank you for your responses. One other question, will a bigger D-21 240mm flywheel fit in the 280z bell houising for I believe my flywheel currently is 225mm ( off a L20b ). I'm thinking that the original flywheel for the 280z tranny was 225mm. Thanks Neil
I have a 620 and I am presently building a Z24 frankenstein for it. It has a 280z 5 speed and I am going to use the flywheel from the L20b that I am replacing with the Z24. The way it will be built it will have maybe 180 bhp. With all that in mind I want a clutch that will grip. Recommendations?
Hi Everyone, In a previous post I described what I had done to my motor. Its a L20b rebuilt properly by a experienced machinist. It was also balanced, ported, plus a Delta 264 cam (RV). I already had a 3236 weber and an upgraded muffler. It has a stock ignition. How much horse do you think it makes? If I added a pair of SU carberators how much power would that add? Then if I added a Pertronix pick up, MSD unit and Blaster coil how much more could I expect? the MSD and coil I already have in another vehicle Can I go with the stock cap and wires? Which plugs? A lot of questions I know, Thanks everyone Neil P.S I thought of 40mm Mikunis but they dont have a choke and I live where it gets really cold.
Hello Everyone, This is my first post. I have a 77 620 with properly rebuilt L20b. It is balanced, new pistons, full machining on block and head. I have a u67 head that he ported and he put in a mild street cam and I run a weber 32-36 with a stock manifold. My question is would it be worth my while to go to a sss head or a87. Or should I take option of welding up the combustion chamber into the peanut style. What sort HP gains could I expect, is it worth it? Thanks
