I've liked Datsuns for a while but could never find one, so when i seen this on craigslist (literally 2 mins from my house) and i had to go look at it. It had a a14 with a 5 speed and 174,XXX miles on it. but the day before i went to see it the guy sold the transmission -__-.It has been sitting since 94 after a kid ran it into a ditch, bent the wheel and fender and they didn't want to fix it. (or so the guy says.) so he said 200 and i figured "why not i could get about that much in scrap." So he towed it home for me yesterday, and now i have a project on my hands and im gunna need some help, because I'm not to sure of what im doing haha.
I pretty much want to get it in working order. I want to swap the a14 with a KA24 and a 5speed, and have it on coilover sleeves or whatever, but im not to sure what to do with the rear. I also want to put flares on it, but dont know which ones to get. ???
Can anyone tell me what Ill need to do to get it where i want it?
Anyway here are some pictures of what i started doing. Hopefully ill get some better ones tomorrow of the whole car.

Started stripping the carpet to see what i was working with rust wise and suprisingly there that wasnt much rust at all.

UPDATE:
Took off fenders, bumpers, hood, finished tearing the carpet out, got most of the rust removed from behind the back bumper, and i think that's it.

Opened up the glove box and found this mostly empty. maybe that contributed to running into the ditch. haha

Still not too sure why its leaning so much. The springs are much more compressed on this side than the other. Any ideas?
