Exactly, I began stripping, and cleaning, it ran when I began the project, meaning there no reason it shouldn't run when put back together. Been garaged the whole time and out of the elements. I hope it's apparent now, thanks. I'll edit the CL ad also. Thankyou

Anybody measure the length of the inner fender rail for me?

i figuired it had been asked before. thanks yellow... acutally im not trying to "devalue" the 521... im mainly looking for a way to make use of the abundance of 510 parts available. i.e. lip spoilers fiberglass fenders, etc.. going in a track-truck direction with this vehicle, actually more like a racecar that can hold my quad/atv. i want the best of everything. lol

Thank you. If its wider than the 521 that's a good start... Even just getting the fenders to fit would open up a great deal of fiberglass options. (which i would prefer) One thing to note is from my firewall forward is all 86 Mustang lol, with the 521 fenders and hood hiding it all... So im not apposed to making the frontend tubular..

How possible is it...? I know anything is possible, but is it close? Can i get some measurements? Hood width, length, height of fenders? Maybe someone has fenders in the Sacramento area i can test fit? I already have to redo my front fascia (thing that holds the headlights) Just curious, im sure its not a direct fit obviously..

My jap friend said the actual kpgc10 front griil and light surrounds run about $2500 its understandable considering old cars there. So im gonna find another alternative.. Tons of long lost grill and head light combos that dont cost an arm, leg, and left nut.

One step ahead of you buddy, my Japanese friend is sourcing a set of headlight bezels and grill, even better if he finds a front nose to cut off. Heres hoping, yahoo japan usually comes through.

Yeah i read that article about the yellow and black plates coming back, interesting. look at it this way, if you do decide to put these on your car then whatever, all you. But like we all know a clean car and a sensible driver will probably never catch any flack. Cops have better things to do than bother someone for a plate color, but hey i'm not a cop what do i know ;-) Now lets all just have some fun. I powder coat all kinds of parts and ill throw up some projects. I get a chance... All done at home in my garage.
