620 Signal ?'s

Hello!

 

I ordered a replacement turn signal assembly for my 1974 620 from ebay. It arrived, and it seems there are 2 styles according to my haynes manual:

 

Version 1: 8 wires (1 separate wire for horn, 1 for power, and a small 6 prong niles plug)

 

Version 2: 7 wires (1 for power, and a large 6 prong niles plug, one of those 6 on the plug in this version runs the horn)

 

My yellow 74 has factory hi and low beam and uses the 7 wire/version 2. The signal lever has 5 positions left turn, right turn, off, hi beam, low beam.

 

My red 74 (the one that needs the new signal) has a hi and low beam clicker installed on the floorboard aftermarket. The signal indicator lever only has 3 positions left turn, off, and right turn.

 

I looked on ebay again, and I have been looking for probably a year for the correct part, anyone have an extra signal assemby that has 7 wires instead of the usual 8?

I might have one out of my 73 I'm going to part out soon. No guaranteed it works though.

I bought the truck not running for a cabchange over.

Lol that would be awesome! My signal still works, its just broken arm. So I can make one out of two sorta thing then. You know for sure its a 7 wire?

I wa going to take column apart but raining today. Ill see if I can get under it tomorrow and find out.

It should be a 7 wire though.
