  1. Nice job and might i say thank you on the behalf of the rest of us who have it easy due to your ingenuity, are these stainless? what did you use to weld them? i've mig welded stainless before but its tricky as shit to keep the chrome from burning out but a little polishing makes perfect.
  2. just got my self a 72 wagon and its got a blown motor. i could rebuild it but the extent of the damage is not known and i dont exactly have the means to dismantle and check it out (right now). I'm going hooker status cheap and easy on it for now to get her running the streets so really any L series will do. However i have been steered toward the original L16 but really L20 with some torque sounds nice for blasting through tight corners I'm not really into drag or high speed show taking. Like i said I'm in and around Sacramento CA and have access to a vintage subaru loyal for picking up a Datsun go box.
