I imagine the CA/SR bolts are the same thread. Length would be the important thing. The top two holes are blind so you don't want bolts that are too long or they'll tighten but not be up against the transmission. Too short and there's not enough thread engagement. You should have 1.5 X the bolt width of threads engaged into the block.
how can i make sure they're the right length?

Im in the middle of swapping out my auto trans for a 5speed in my 1980 510. I'm wondering what bolts I would need to connect the bell housing to the engine. Could I use the transmission bolts from a ca18? or sr20? or do I just need to find each bolt's pitch and length?

I have a transmission from what I believe is a 521 truck, which has some sort of output flange. Which my driveshaft which is a slip yoke won’t fit into, is there a way to modify either the transmission or driveshaft or would I just need a different transmission?

alright thank you very much this has been helpful

how much space would be too much before it affects it?

Well could i also just machine an adapter plate?

would it not be possible to get a different bell housing or to even make an adapter plate?
