I have recently made a conversion to manual but my crossmember doesn't bolt up properly
It is a 4speed 60 series option 6
so I think it's from a b310
I got the crossmember from the b310 and it also came with some kind of wierd side engine mount, like a quarter chunk of iron with two holes in the side
my question is
how do I go around bolting the b310 mount to the b210 chassis
or is there a b210 mount that will fit my gearbox without mods?
heres a picture of my gearbox
and here it is sitting on a tyre
how important is clutch alignment
i aligned my clutch by hand and broomstick
although i didn't get it perfect i think i left like half an inch
or so out but the gearbox shaft mated up really nicely with the crankshaft
and the engine spins freelywith the gearbox on and doesnt really feel like theres any drag
not too much got done today as it was raining here in melbourne
cleaned up all the dirt
removed the black out on the rear lights
clean headlamp
lights after a nice wash
This is what i mean thats an l20b from what i can see the metal plate looks fabricated or something has been tacked under if the a series mounts dont fit the l series
i would like to clarify the easiest way of putting the l20 into the 120y coupe
the a10 stanza member?
the 180b member + strut towers?
the 200b mounts on the 120y member welded in?
would A series brackets fit on the L series?
$40 will be fine to cover the costs of shipping it to the states
it does have the wiring and it has not been tested but i can only assume its working
so its kind of a gamble
i can take some photos of the broken mount and wiring if you would like
the A series is getting rebuilt for the moment and as a temporary measure until i can source a l20
so far im thinking use the automatic tailshaft with a stumpy and l20b engine
im just not sure about the crossmembers but i was told to use the a10 stanza member or the struts and member from a 180b
and find out the easiest way to fit it
paint thats going on the coupe is going to be pepper grey metallic with black metallic grand touring stripes
model S-670
has broken mounting plate but can be removed from housing and fitted into dash simply and will look very nice
location: melbourne VIC
price: willing to go as low as $30 with postage included or swapsies for anything i could use
would suit a b210 excellent, 240z, 1600, or 510 sss very well
another update
this is what the cat thinks of my coupe

hard work
will keep you guys updated
