  1. Well I got my bike fixed so I can tear into it a little further now. The center post on my cap snapped off and thats why I need to replace it. Resistor and coil are still good .
  2. I was told by a coworker when I past him that I had a good size blue cloud produced. Alrighty ill try that atf idea. I was also told it was a Monroe track motor so maybe ill try the compression ratio to see what im getting but im waiting on my unilite cap and rotor cuz mine is toast. Should I drive it any different with the atf in it?
  3. Well Its getting there somehow so I figured its either getting past the rings or its getting past the seals unless for some odd reason someone decided to put oil in my tank and keeps slowly taking oil out of my pan over time
  4. Is there a big difference in length or strength of either of those?cuz I was told my lz22 has custom piston which is going to make it a pain to find rings for.
  5. Yea ive read a bit about that but im gonna start with the valve seals because that seems to be the only reason oil is gathering around the edge of my air horn on my carbs.
  6. Im sorry I should have specified what im talking about. I can get stock gaskets but I was wondering if the racer brown cam or any of the massive porting done to the head would change anything or better recommendations for gaskets and seals.

  8. Alrighty which truck/ engine did that a87 head come on? My area has cute but not very knowledgeable ladies working the counter so that'd help a lot lol
  9. Hey so ive got a few questions about my lz22 setup. I have reason to believe either my rings or my valve seals are bad so I tried looking for just the valve seals but cant find them anywhere. Is there a particular set I should pick up or a site that sells just the gasket set for the a87 head? Thanks guys

Yea I still would like to get the gasket set for it and pull it all apart and clean it cuz its still dripping gas at idle and the fuel pressure regulator is turned all the way down. maybe it is about to go bad or somethin. But for now its running really well and even idling around 1000 which I thought would never happen with that cam haha. Can't seem to figure out how to post pics for you guys tho

  12. Alright so today I changed the oil cleaned the spark plugs and then set the timing from 5 degrees to 15 and turned the air fuel mix screws 2 and 3/4
  13. Yea from about half to WOT it sits at 11 then back to 14 once closed
  14. Alrighty and what would a good air/fuel ratio be? Cuz it sits around 14.1 at idle but dips down to 11at about half throttle. Thanks again guys
  15. Alright last night I pulled them apart and found the jets at the bottom. All 135's so thats good news. But while I had em apart I let all the jets and tubes sit in my carb clean bucket them hosed em down with carb cleaner and inspected my jet holes. Reinstalled and ran like a champ. Even got it to idle around 1000 but still think the ignition timing is a little wonky so ill play with that tonight. Probably also going to remove and clean all my fuel delivery components this weekend
