i have a 1973 datsun 620 built 08/73 has the short shaft 4 speed transmission. i have a 75 with long shaft tranny. im looking to put a 5 speed in the 73. i have a crossmember for the long shaft but i dont have a driveline. im looking at buying a 5 speed out of a 1983 280zx . will the driveline out of the 280zx work with my 620? or will i have to shorten my driveline? and will the tranny work out of the 1983 zx ? was told the tranny would work . but i would like to get some more feedback from a few Datsun shade tree Geniuses.
