did you just push the pins out with a flat head, was it trial and error with the pins. were can i find a diagram for just the cluster in pdf?

well its been a month or so since I logged in. I am busy with my first baby girl. I was driving the mule home the other day and finally had it with my old square gauge cluster. I got a cluster from a 1984 4x4. I drive a 1980 4x4. I was wondering if any one had a link to a wiring diagram for the 1980 and 1984 Datsun 720 wiring diagram. I want to swap clusters out, I know this will not be easy. So far I got the tach to work.... any help and or advice would be great. I was able to install the 1984 tilt column thanks to y'all.

I am 28 and my wife is 24. I'm open minded when it comes to a job in the navy. honestly I want to serve my country, I feel I neef this in order to be a citizen. we also have one daughter who is under a year old.

To start I was raised in a military family, my family has been in the military since the civil war. (both sides) .My wifes family has not been in at all. I would like to join the Navy. Rightly so my wife is worried. She works in the medical field and is thinking about enlisting as a corpse men, my question is. Are any of you full active military and your spouse is not. how does this work? What do I need to look out for as far as time away. any help or advice would be great. thanks you

wayno I'm not surprised that you are the first one to reply and ask a question I should have stated. lol. yes it is the stock carb and yes I removed it to clean everythong in a solvin tank.

So I rebuilt the carb on my l20b in my 1980 Datsun 720 4X4. I also followed some ones advice and tore it down again. why would I do that ? well my secondary valve will not open. It will open manually and its all gravy but on its own.... nope, nothin , not a dang thing. I don't even have the power to make it back up my driveway. The primary valve had a slight bend to it so my buddy made it flat. looking back I'm not sure if that was the right idea. his logic was the secondary valve was brass and without markings. the primary valve was silver with numbers on it. In all honesty the primary valve looked home made out some old dog tags. we sprayed carb cleaner to check for vacuum leaks. it seems one guess is the secondary diagram assembly had a small leak. Thats my best guess, I need a new secondary diagram assembly. The part is only ten dollars but cost eight more dollars for shipping. (special order) Also on the front of the carb there is a cylinder with a line coming out of it, mine is black and kinda looks like popeyes pipe a little. It seems to me a fuel filter would go inside this cylinder. I called the auto parts store and asked, they couldn't find one. I also asked for a radiator hose for a 68 beetle and was on hold for 15 min lol. Im at my wits end y'all any help would be great.

I guess so, that was the hardest card rebuild ever. 2cd times a charm.

so I rebuilt the carb on my 1980 720 4x4 l20b motor. ok so it idels just fin at 1000 rpm, when I rev it up to 3500 rpm its sputters until 4500 rpm. at 4500rm it hangs out for a couple of secs then it goes up again in rpm range like normal.

I'm there man. Got the app for my droid, our pick in pull doesnt really stay on top of inventory though :-(

I ran a search for cross over parts once. The sane guy did what I was doing with the tilt column, he said he was using a 93 path finder spline but the female end was off.

Some one on a forum a long time ago made a list of swapable parts. 280zx bucket seats were on the list of direct bolt in.
