  1. Are the bell housings different in the 720 and d21 z24 transmissions?! both of which are 2wd!!
  2. Is there a difference at all in the 5 speed transmissions from a 720 style pickup and a D21 pickup?! Both of them have the Z24 motors?!please help...
  3. Can anyone tell me what the thread pitch is on the 85-88 Nissan pickup manual shifters?
  4. At that Psi rate do u think I would still need to regulate it with a FPR?!
  5. What's the Max Psi on the carb style fuel pump for the Nissan Z24? is it 3 psi?
  6. Yes I totally agree and that's the reason I've been installing different starters all of which are brand new, to try and eliminate some of the issues but cannot come to a conclusion.. So I might just have to tare it down.. Is there any special tools needed to remove the automatic flex plate if it is there?!
  7. If I were to pull the fuel relay to disable the Intank fuel pump and hook up a stock napz fuel pump like they are in the 720's , would that work better?!
  8. So the Intank fuel pump would be to strong to even try and use a fuel pressure regulator on to regulate it to that 3-3.5 correct?
  9. Yes those things.. And yes they are, I mated the transmission to the motor before I dropped it in to ensure they were tight.. Do u think the flywheel could be bent? The flywheel clutch and pressure plate were all brand new and made by XTD.. But after encountering this issue since the swap I can see the starters are starting to scuff up the flywheel a bit..
  10. I'm not sure if that's what it's actually called but it's the plate that sits between the block and tranny..
  11. Can anyone tell me if an Intank fuel pump for an 87 Nissan hardbody napz , pushes out to much PSi for 45mm weber side drafts..?! Any input would be greatly appreciated..
  12. The flywheel was not removed during the swap between trucks.. However I took the transmission from the d21 and mated it to the Z24 then dropped the motor and tranny in the d21 as a whole.. Can the flex plate being bent at the bottom cause an issue at all?!
  13. Could that plate be the reason the starter isn't engaging the flywheel correctly?! I should of said this earlier but I pulled the whole swap out of my 720 in which everything cranked and engaged correctly without issue.. Utilizing the same exact starter on the same exact motor that I swapped into my D21, I am now encountering this issue.. The starter that is being used is a gear reduction direct drive starter out of the 720 4x4 from the wrecking yard..
  14. Yes I do, it is on their and it's also a little bent at the bottom.. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.. And yes the motor was originally an automatic out of a 720 pickup in which it was converted to a manual transmission .. Thanks for your response..
  15. So I have a Z24 motor in which I am running an 89 240sx clutch, flywheel and pressure plate. I have tryed several starters to include frontiers, ka24, as well as the stock starters. n it seems that when bolted up and as it's cranking , it sounds like the bendix extends out and it is barely grabbing the flywheel and maken a real nasty sound .. Can anyone PLEASE HELP me and give me some tips on what I should check or what is the compatible starter for the clutch, flywheel and pressure plate in the Z24 napz motor.. Thank you very much in advance..
