Looking around the room at those who have posted, the cars/trucks you have and the job you carry, i am not really hurting by the attempted insults here. Eugene guy had a chance to give it to me but he failed at that. Skill is skill, i have it. No matter if i need to use newspaper or proper masking paper i can build what you all wish you could have. If you want to spend more for the same finished product i can easilly just take more and tell you it was done that way ;)

Nice. Yes. They are different. But if you have the ability to use windex or acetone on a piece of glass there is no difference. mhmm That bee is to die for! Seriously, love the work, love the shop.. Why the hate, i am not in competition, and not saying you should not use the papers of your choice when you can. should i just expect this type of attitude from site? I guess it is a internet forum... Ok, forgot i said anything here, i will stick to just tossin out random questions when i need them.

Yup, the guy i did that job for did not pay me for it, and the supplies he offered were limited. I also know that most of the products used by most collision shops are not needed, but are there for looks. Nickel ads are just as affective as the rolls of masking paper they use. I have some, it was a waste of money.. I have no overhead and no real bills due to things like that, so i can do jobds like that for people for cost, or sometimes (when using nickel ads for masking) FREE! :) :) :)

oh i was just asking about that chassis as i got a clip in and seemed like a topic that might be ok here. I am actually here for info on dimes and 620, hardbodys ect.. I am on nissans northwest, sylivia ect as well... Just sparkin up conversations is all.

Hi! I know it sounds funny, but that quotes floating around for a reason. Untill i started working for myself i had ever past employer cry when i left. I have a very good work ethic and i put myself at times to far into my jobs. Most people cannot or will not say that about themselves, i know, however most people did not go from base to top in months in every job they had. but i can see how that might look funny :)

definatly not my strategy at all. I was mearly pointing out past expereinces and one of two reasons for starting up the shop. One is to help those the other shops will not help even when they can, and two build cars.. Simple as that. As to RCC and the rotary forums. That site is a good reference place as is rx7club, but its long since abandoned, the five people who post are sadly not who i am appealing to and am not supprised to see such comments and lack of interest in current and past dealings with things pertaining to their groups. The only mistake made there was posting not as a person but as a business. The confusion and drama only exists because they cannot understand that its for those to see past expereinces and the true workings of all the local shops, not a attempt to get business. We are far to busy to get in anymore, as i am sure the other shops are as well. We also know it is not possible to hurt those shops in any way. It was stated for those who might be searching around to get an idea of who is working where and why they are. :) About my training. Well, its kinda hard to go to school for rotary mechanics, most schools dont touch it and the couple who do, well, anyone here seen a mazda reman motor, not even pineapple or fd3s engineering will say they are worth a shit.. so there is no place to go, the best one can do is learn through those around who seem to know best. I have spent a little over five years doing nothing but ( i mean nothing but ) working on these cars and motors. I have traveled over 100,000 miles getting motors to learn on, meeting people, helping the main shops, attending every tech session offered. Pretty much living in and around those in the NW with shops and the best cars. Before those five years i was working on body and paint. learning again from professional shops and helping many others personal projects..... So i have about ten years hands on, as close to professional training as i could get. Before that i was into music, i have a knack for it and was busy playing 20+ insturments and deciding if i cared anough about the BS to attempt a career in it.... Oh and as to my basic mechanics skills, i am well trained, not a professional, but 85% are not actually professional. AST certification is a open book course online and most shops dont even require but one on site mechanic to have it for legal purposes.... Hope this clears some things up. Although it seems a bit fishy that you are a rotary name on a datsun forum... I came here becuase i have some nismo shit and will later be doing dime and 620 projects and will need some info.... But hi, nice to meet you, i think you got the wrong impression about why i say things, its no drive for money or business.. Just to point out people and places as i have experienced them and why i am now in the position i am with my shop :)

lol we are open to all build options. We know rotary engines better than anything else, and we love the wrap up. That about sums up our devotion to it though. We are looking to let go of the rhd 240sx clip we just got in though. We are looking to find a 620 for the shop truck, we are not sure what the build plan will be, we have just been kicking around a rotary as we have many on hand! We are looking for a few people to inform me of the difference between the s14/15 and the silvia. Are there chassis differences? we see many kits going on the 14 series, just curious if they are the same car, rebadged? Sorry for the noob question lol

Hello everyone! Joe from JM Classic Imports, New to the club and looking forward to getting to know everyone! We are a rotary specialist shop in philomath but we also dabble in many other makes and models of cars. We have had many fun datto projects in our past and are looking to take on many more. We are hopeful to obtain some knowledge in wiring and sensor, motors and models. We are starting a couple builds this winter including a turbo rotary 620 and a 240sx rhd conversion.
