Tendril, do you know how they did the transmission? Stick or auto? Because that's exactly what I was thinking about doing.

i dont wanna stick the 4bt in the 240z it has a l28et in it.

i dont know. just being different, i think it would be a pretty awesome swap if it could be done. ALSO i wanted to build something to tow my Z.

yeah i would have to reinforce the frame too. but yeah the engine is heavy but look at this its a 240sx with the 4bt in it. i would think if it could fit in this and work it could be fine in a 521?

hahah actually i was also thinking about that. i was thinking of getting an auto tranny and cutting a hole in the bed and doing something like that.

hey guys my names austyn, i have a 1971 240z and now im thinking about getting a 521. i was wondering if anyone has put a turbo diesel engine in a 521? im thinking of putting a cummins 4bt in it, but my concerns are is the engine bay big enough? will the frame be able to hold a 1000 LB engine? let me know what you think.
