A better question i think, can anyone give me a reliable website for puchasing a bigger alternator for the z24 thats like 80 to 100amps?

Ok, first things first i installed a 1000watt sony xplod subwoofer with its 350 watt amp, and i think thats the reason my nissan z24(someone tell me what this engine came out of?) alternator crapped out and started boiling my battery Literally!, i went to repco and bought their 35 amp alternator (i know, alot less then 60 but dad made me get the smaller cheaper option -.-) i hooked it all up the 2 pin plug was the same wacked on my multimetre and fired it up, the battery light stayed constantly on and the multimetre read 15 volts at one point, so i literally shit bricks and quickly turned the ignition off and pulled the key out but the engine kept running, so i ripped all the leads off the battery and it still didnt die, i had to drop the clutch in 4th, i then disconnected the cable from the alternator and the vehicle started and stopped fine without any problems, sorry i dont have any photos because im at school at the moment, but.... What engine did the nissan z24 petrol motor come out of? and will a 35 amp alternator be enough to run my somewhat small amplifier? how would i fix the engine not turning off with the new alternator?

As the title suggests, once i turn the car off the engine continues to run HORRIBLE, it shakes the whole car sometimes for 3 seconds and other times for about 30, it just shakes violently before stopping, im new to the whole engine side of things and im wondering if anyone has had this problem before and how did they fix it? any help would be appreciated

I just found out my datsun 720, king cab's engine was designed for leaded fuel, which doesnt exsist anymore so im forced to use unleaded fuel, should i be running 95 octane or 98 octane? i read somewhere about hardened valve seats, but no idea if i have them :(, i also read that running unleade may cause the timing to be out which would explain why when i turn the car of, it shakes and keeps running for a few seconds, what are my options?

I am yet to go to a wrecker and scavenge the required parts, i had a friend that told me a power steering kit of a nissan navara bolts straight up, is this correct?

True, as of late i have been unable to find one, i had a mate that said one from a nissan navara will bolt straight in, will it actually???

basically i went 4wding last weekend and it was a **** to turn without power steering and 4wd mode on, i know you can get a power sterring kit or something out of another vehicle and i want to know what power steering system from what vehicle works with a Datsun 720 Kc?

Ok, my default temperature gauge next to the speedo, has ceased working so i went out and bought one from SuperCheap, and its en electronic one but i am unable to find the threaded hole on my z24 engine to place the sensor any insite?
