  1. Wayno, thanks for posting this, I finally got my little NL running again! it was the float! I took the carb apart and cleaned it, still would flood out. Fixed it with some solder per DanielC's advice and it starts and runs!Thank you DanielC, this is going to be my new daily driver!

  2. Hi Ryan, love the truck, those Titan wheels look awesome! I've got 16" red steelies and I thought that looked tough.. Anyway, I am looking to swap in a brand new L20b with the 280z 5 speed and saw that you were still running the stock rear end. How is this on the freeway? Are you looking into swapping out the rear gears or does it keep up with traffic. I plan on daily driving but I'd like to make a run out to the desert every now and then. Thanks for any help with this and I look forward to seeing any updates!

  4. It was great to be a part of this wild turnout! That place was packed! lots of awesomeness and some great people as usual! Thanks to all that worked to put this meet together and make it possible to do something like this! Also thanks to all the praise and questions about my 4x4 wagon, hopefully next time I bring it out it will be a little more polished!

  5. Cool! Thanks for the praise, I am re-gearing the rear end, updating the alternator, and tuning it up for King Of The Hammers next month so I will start a thread with some pics of how this started out.

  6. I would say go with the Toy axles and springs. Trail Gear makes a kit to swap '85 and earlier solid axles. I you plan on crawling or want to keep it reliable and somewhat inexpensive, Toyota. The width is almost right on. I just did a 4x4 conversion on my 510 wagon, I know I'll catch hell for it but it looks alright and it almost lines up perfect for what I intend to use it for. I'll post pics when I get some on pb. Good luck!

  7. Hey Fellow Ratsun readers, I have some wagon and other assorted stuff I need to get rid of. I have pictures of everything but just too much with my lame internet connection to load them all. I can e-mail them if necessary.

Rather not ship this stuff, that's why I am posting here before I put them on e-bay.

I am in Torrance California. Make me an offer if something seems too high.

  8. Thanks Burrito!

The wheels were a Pomona swap meet find 16x6 and 16x7 front/back. Great deal and fit perfectly on my 521. I needed to do a little fender lip pinching on the NL but they fit fine. These were intended for a Chevrolet but the seller changed his mind after powder coating them red. I bought the caps at the same swap meet. Tires were a little trickier and more expensive than anticipated but they sure make a difference in handling and looks. Over all it was probably about $650 for the set.

  9. Yeah, especially if they are in one piece and not rusted to death!

This is the first week I bought it, I lowered it and replaced the slave cylinder, of course, and it now rides on red 16" steel wheels with polished caps. Other than a recovered seat it is completely stock, miserable on the freeway and now way too low to drive. It is good to look at and dream about driving after the L20 swap in store.

  10. Wow burrito, that is a pretty truck. I would start with the simplest thing and that is the slave cylinder. I had the same problem with mine when I brought her home but it went out in the driveway. I called around for what seemed like weeks and finally found one with Rod of Rod's Datsun Parts. Wasn't cheap but I can drive it now. And like Mike said, there seems to be a nut or two missing from the slave cylinder shaft. But just because I have one of the few un-restored NL320's doesn't make me an expert! I'll have to post some pics of it at JCCS a couple years ago.
