    Sad Decision

Well guys tomorrow is the last day. Sad. :crying: The clutch was slipping when I first drove it after 16 years of sitting in a garage. After I kept pushing the clutch in and out for around twenty minutes it loosened up and it has worked fine from then on. I had bought a new clutch, housing and throw out bearing for it but since it works fine I never installed it, I am going to give all of the spare parts that I have to the winning bidder
  2. Patd, Sorry to hear of your dillima. If the truck is as nice as it sounds don't get rid of it too soon. talk to the IRS. The whole economy is screwed. They aren't trying to put everyone in the poor house. Don't bail out to soon. Good luck. Nice truck

Thanks for the advice, I already know that you can make payments to the IRS, but they will hit you with the penalty and interest. I have been saving since Oct last year and just about have it. But with the tax repayment and these damn Apt. first month, last month, security deposit, pet deposit Gas and electric deposits it never ends deposits. Here in So Calif the average Apt rent is over $1000. So these deposits add up fast. I feel like living under a bridge sometime, rent free.

    Sad Decision

Thanks for the kind words guys, I would like to keep her but the Tax I owe for selling the house in AZ is a killer. I took the first time home buyers credit of $8000. So now I owe it back to Uncle Sam as I didn't keep the house for three years. So he wants his money back on 15 April. :crying: :crying:

    Sad Decision

Well guys due to some changes I have to make I have decided I am going to have to sell my 521. I have been staying with my daughter and son-in-law since selling my house in AZ and decided to move into an apt, Of course it does not have a garage just a parking space and I just don't want to have to sleep at night with one eye open thinking that it will be stolen. And I owe uncle Sam some money on the house sale so this is the best option. I am going to list it on ebay and see what happens. If anybody knows someone who is looking for a nice 521 let them know. :crying:

    Tension rod bushings

Thanks for the tip.! I went down to autozone and wouldn't you know it they had that kit for $14.95 so I bought it and just got done putting them on. The left hand side tension rods big jam nut was loose so I think that might have been some of the problem of the loose steering. The old bushings were pretty dry rotted. I took her for a quick spin and the steering feels a lot tighter than before.
  7. I first thought this was a Winnebago, Then I saw the casket on the roof, So I am guessing it is a Hearst? or is that some type of Alter? Mobil church?

  11. I know guys, do your own oil changes, The reason I asked is because I just bought the car last week I put 540 miles on it, I let my daughter use it to go to Az to see her sister. I called her yesterday and asked her to get the oil changed before she comes back as the car almost has 1000 miles on it. They have jiffy lubes out there ans I called them to see what type of filters they install. They use Fram, Motor Trend and Mild Guard. I wanted to see if anybody here had any comments on them. I think I will call her and tell her to put the motor Trend on it.
  12. Has anyone had a experience with Motor Trend oil filters? I just bought a Toyota Corolla and want to do a oil change at Jiffy lube and this is one of the filter brands that they use. Fram, (No way) Mild guard (never heard of them) and Motor Trend. http://www.carparts.com/MOTOR-TREND-HIGH-PERFORMANCE-OIL-FILTERS/GP_2018050_N_111+20005368+600023071_10618.car
  13. If I buy sick620's lens I will save the old one, and if anyone needs one they can have it, just pay shipping,
  14. Email me with what you want for it, If I can afford it I will buy it from you. :D
  15. Thanks for the info, These look like they are getting harder to find so I will head down to kragen tomorrow morning and see if they still sell the kits. Thanks.
