datzenmike
Some friends of my son were over to get one of their cars running and sold today. They came in a '67 Dart they were working on the winter. It was a slant six and now has the running gear from an '86 Diplomat. It has a 318 (now with 4bbl and dual exhaust added) The 904A automatic has the newer locking torque converter and there is an older 727 Torqueflite from a 340 waiting. Gees, I havent sat in a '60's Dart since about '73 or so. A stock 2bbl 318 is rated at around 230 hp so this one without the smog shit and a 4bbl/duals should be at the least that amount. Anyway we went 'round the block' for a toot. Very satisfying.:D Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Yeah it kicked sideways a bit through the middle of first an hammered hard into 2nd. Kind of crushes you well into the seat and the speed climbs pretty fast.:D When I was 21 I bought a new '70 340 4spd Dart that would have had about 60-70 more hp. Wow, hard to imagine almost 40 years later. I had fun. Quote Link to comment
