ggzilla:

I went to Pullapart Arlington Friday afternoon 8/14 and filled my ample pockets for my $1.00. Since there were no 620 pickups to get parts from, I took the front turn signal lenses from the green '79 210 and made them fit on my '77 620. There was also an '83 Nissan Pulsar (I bought one new in '83). From the pulsar I got the 5 speed gear shift knob, which I am now using in my truck. Fit right on the shift lever. I got the driver's side rear view mirror from one of the 720 pickups, it's now installed on the passenger side of my 620. I got a pai]r of console gauges from one of the 720's and lots of other misc. parts. I love going to Pullapart! Seeing your pics makes me feel like I'm there stuffing my pockets all over again!

Thanks ggzilla!

Dan

Imagine a nice rust-free B210 which arrived complete at Pull A Part a couple of months ago. Now no doors, hood, trunklid, not fenders no seats, no running gear. Cylinder head, transmission, rear end and front struts are all gone. And today it is sitting on four welded-wheel jackstands and someone cut the floor out of it! You can stand up inside the car!

lol, most datsuns around here are stripped and crushed, regardless of what they are, I can honestly say i have killed more rust free and strait 510's and z cars then i have killed any other brand of car.

Found this at a junkyard that's right next to the LKQ on Columbia in Portland. Place is called A1 Light Truck Parts. Can't miss it, they got a bright yellow Ranger on a pole. Now I can go get something you need if your willing to pay for the part and a small delivery fee. Hit up the PM for anything. I already pocketed the near perfect 4-speed knob though. :D

As usual - forgot my camera.

-1976 280z auto

-1981 280zx N/A still very complete including iron cross wheels, 5-speed and struts. Missing shifter and master cylinder.

-1981 280zx Turbo also pretty complete. Auto trans. Missing injectors and rocker cover.

Didn't see anything else. Yard was 50% clunkers. What a waste:(.

Geez man I was just kidding man. There was a messed up 620 bumper there and a apron. also a dizzy for a 6 cylinder datsun. Still there...

But seriously why hide it? Its not like they are going to have a half off sale soon. Maybe it was no cash? But if you have no cash then you shouldn't be at the yard looking for stuff I guess...

Murphy's Law of Wrecking Yard Wisdom: You will never find the parts you are looking for/want when you have money. However, you will find everything on your wish list (in pairs) when you are broke. Spoken from experience (I should have put that 3.70 Subi LSD in my pocket or something...:)
