Brake adjuster parts for 67 PL411 Bluebird

When the wheel came off of my 411 because of broken lug studs, the drum, springs and shoes also came off.  I had cleaned up the brake shoe adjusters to the point they were working beautifully... the only problem was that the adjuster tappets when cleaned were very easy to move.  When the drum came off, it pulled the shoes off, and when the shoes came off in the road, the tappets fell out, landing in a place only God knows of.   Of course the tappets are discontinued, as are the adjuster assemblies, so nissan was not a viable source.

 

After pulling my hair for a few days, i ran across adjusters for an MGB, 1980.  Form was the same, adjustment method the same, etc.  I had found a single adjuster assembly on Ebay for 78$ but the seller wanted 75$ to ship the 4 ounce assembly to me, so I rejected it quickly.  The MGB part was 35$ for two with 6$ shipping.  I ordered them.   Not only do the tappets work great, the assembly itself would also work in a pinch with slight modifications to the backing plate.  I used the tappets, kept the body for a just in case, and was quite pleased with the result.  Length is correct, diameter is correct, angle of the tappet is correct.  Two parts for 35/less than half the price of one used, and a 69$ savings on shipping.
