EBW Posted August 31 Report Posted August 31 I have a 72 521 and and dealing with the upholstery shop as they redo my stock bench seat. The issue im having is how tall it puts me when im driving. Depending on the 2nd attempt I might be looking for another set of seats. Im looking for a pair of low profile bucket seats that are "somewhat" comfortable. What are you guys running and how comfortable are they. Id like to start looking for seats that others have already proven work. Lastly. I dont mind modifying the floor to get the seat rails set. I need to be able to comfortably drive the truck without my head hitting the rooftop. Photo of my seat that was overly padded. Its currently in the upholstery shop going on a diet. Quote
Crashtd420 Posted August 31 Report Posted August 31 Wish I had better info but I found some buckets in the junkyard... It was a late 80s early 90s Chevy.... I should have wrote down what they actually were in but didnt think of it at the time... They are extremely comfortable.... I was able to get them low enough to fit them just under that rear window lip... I did opt for a slightly smaller steering wheel too.... I am 6 foot tall and daily the truck and drive it whenever wherever I can.... I have never been uncomfortable... 2 Quote
datzenmike Posted August 31 Report Posted August 31 I put Datsun buckets in my '71. This was back in the early '80s? Same as the B-210 or later king cabs... They were made to fit but too thick and wouldn't move back against the rear glass nearly enough. I don't recommend them. Best is the stock very thin bench seat I'm afraid. Quote
