Loryde520 Posted August 18 Report Posted August 18 (edited) Well, my purchase of a 73 620 has re-ignited my interest in the old Datsuns. I went to my Uhaul storage truck and dug out some totes labelled "Datsun parts". I found my Edelbrock intake with a Weber 32/36 still mounted. I also found a W 53 head complete.I also found a camshaft with M651 stamped on the end. I purchased 2 camshafts years ago with a peanut head which went onto my 68 520 with a Shadbolt 445 grind. I am not sure what thw M651 camshaft is. Does anyone know??? I'm going to put the Edelbrock/Weber on my L16 in my 620, but is this cam a good option??? Edited August 18 by Loryde520 1 Quote
datzenmike Posted August 18 Report Posted August 18 That's an L20-B cam and it's been reground for more lift. If it was an Isky it would say so. Shadbolt??? Colt? Comp Cams? Edelbrock, interesting but not likely much better than stock. Quote

I'm not hoping for much in horsepower gain, just wanted to use my Edelbrock for it's scarceness. Any idea where I could locate an electronic dizzy with a matchbox?? Thanks for your help. Quote

'79 A10 (HL510) '79 S10 200sx '79 620 truck '80 720 truck The early non California Z20 engines had only for spark plugs and they are also matchbox. '80 S110 200sx '80 A10 (HL510) There are replacement matchbox distributors made in China??? I don't think the matchbox is actually on the outside but the electronics are under the cap. $66 is incredibly cheap. banzai510(hainz) Posted September 3 Report Posted September 3 (edited) those boursins only really work with a L20 dist mount. and might need to modify to get the TDC correct for the slot to be maybe regroved also. there was soemobody on here to make universal plates for the L16 and later L18/20 versions to get the plate roight/ also the boursin its doesnt use a L16 or L20 cap. never did find out what cap it usues. I have one of these as a sapre also. But I use the point dizzys with the Pertronix and have stayed with them since I have a stack of dizzys to use up Edited September 3 by banzai510(hainz) Quote
