Smoking Joe Posted June 2 Report Posted June 2 I broke the white plastic breather vent on while cleaning my 5 speed trans prior to installing t back into my 85 720 truck. I found a new NOS vent on ebay for a 240Z would they possibly be interchangeable. Thanks to all that comment on Ratsun. Quote

datzenmike Posted June 3 Report Posted June 3 The 240z 4 speed through August '71 will perfectly match the late 720 5 speed. However the '72 and up F4W71B 4 speed is different. It might still work though it's different shape and part number. See for yourself. Quote

Yes it looks like that one and I ordered that specific one yesterday it was about $14.00 delivered to my door. So hopefully it will fit, thanks for your suggestion. I now have to get the piece that was left in the bore removed. hopefully what's left of it will come out without too much resistance Quote

The one you pictured is much flatter and appears to be considerably larger in diameter. I doubt it would fit in my trans. The one that chrashtd420 suggested looks identical in shape just hoping it's the same dimensionally. Quote
