Dats_Mandersun_408
Ive ordered a new clutch master cylinder and summit racing keeps delaying the order, there are others that I can get easier but they don't connect to the hard lines. Should I just replace the hardlines with braided lines or is it best to wait... Quote Link to comment

Dats_Mandersun_408
the port is supposed to be on the side but the one at auto zone that says it fits has the port going vertical Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Likely they are confused and are trying to sell you a BRAKE master. They had vertical outlet. Tell them to try CLUTCH master. Check your old one, should be 5/8? Amazon has them in 5.8 fits almost all Datsuns and Nissans... https://www.amazon.com/Premium-Reservoir-Compatible-1977-1979-1970-1973/dp/B0DKBQLVD5 Quote Link to comment

I put the nut on and cut the rod then unscrew the nut to clean the threads. https://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/1971/nissan/521_pickup/brake/brake_master_cylinder.html Edited May 29 by banzai510(hainz) Quote Link to comment
