Smoking Joe
Yes i Have the vin number on the driver side dash. It is however missing the underhood data and driver door plates. Its an exceptionally nice truck that has at one point had some body damage to the left front fender and drivers door and cab behind the drivers door When I had the interior panels removed you could see that the lower portion of the cab behind the door (KingCab) had been replaced The repairs were done with good craftsmanship but I'm assuming the data plate was removed during the body repairs and never put back. Thanks for your response. Quote Link to comment

That looks like it will work perfectly I thought I read that the change to Hardbody was in June 85. My wiring is much closer to the 84 720 diagram than the 86 720 diagram and my theory is that in the last month, they tried to use a lot of stuff that was laying around. I know there was one at least one other thing that I can't remember about my truck that matched to an older year better than to the 86 manual. The next year models come out the summer before, around June. May and June '85 saw and overlap where both '85 and '86 model year 720s were produced. From July on through October, only '86 model years were produced. It can be said that all '86 model year 720s were built in '85. Quote Link to comment

The Car number is stamped there. Hopefully it matches the title. 1 Quote Link to comment
