GRJones
Hi I bought a d21 5 speed for my 620 l20b. I've had the bell housing machined to match the fs5w71c from a d21. I buggered the countershaft bearing so I ordered one from rockauto. They all have an inner bore of 25mm but mine is 22mm and the correct 62mm OD. Did I buy the wrong transmission? Test fit to the front end of the countershaft. It's a press on fit. Measure the countershaft end, should be almost the same as the inside of the bearing. Quote Link to comment
GRJones
Went to nissan instead of rockauto and was able to find the correct bearing haha. I think i went through each year on rockauto Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
All 71C used the 62mm (outer diameter) counter bearing. The 71B used a 56mm bearing and switched to 62mm in '85. Quote Link to comment
