Almuerto
Hello & thank you in advance for any insight / advice as basically, my front Bumper is not attached on the sides and so I have been trying to gather the bolts, rubber, washers etc. but have been unsuccessful (other than the washers) as of yet... I myself have a '79 620, and as far as I can tell, I am in need of (though I am not opposed to going completely off-script): Bolt-Bumper Side To Fender: 01111-00331 Rubber-Bumper Side: 62660-J0101 and possibly: Shim-Bracket Bumper: 62678-21000 These all seem to be discountinued through Nissan though I am able to order the Washers... Thank you all for your time... (My apologies if I posted this twice, as I was not signed in so unsure if it went through) Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
i got ones of these then buy bolts at hardware store https://www.amazon.com/Manalete-Thread-Checker-Nut-Bolt/dp/B0CYT4ZK9J/ref=sr_1_19?crid=1OMCKTO9WMADF&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.noQELgypEMpp69aW_15I3I9V9iRXK_oJZTXXgAe-T6zi9RDZZU5LTZCw2lUHcpjoKZ4imxO7mprHpubdHQv9SC2v98nXVHvwZ2I7wlki-pRi9zoNkWa_t1e2x34BqnCCiaAhK6hOmKgkMOvN7Bao__FkZCOTA-I8WbRmv9nwqTN3v71DWpRU1ttoX_tuKc-Z611eBPOD9e-eler25l8SVcXtvhCl96MDTTaNUhBmH5w.p0ANpih2YXhJl4u7k89Levtsmxf27aqzBIZXwkYnAEA&dib_tag=se&keywords=thread+checker&qid=1775415504&sprefix=thread%2Caps%2C187&sr=8-19 1 Quote Link to comment
Almuerto
ah ok, your saying to just get a thread checker and get the bolts at the hardware store(?), seems easy enough, and for the rubber, I will try to use what I have lying around, something is bound to be a nice buffer... A friend sent me a picture of the setup and said the Hex Head was 12mm but the thread more like 10mm, I will confirm, thanks!... Quote Link to comment
slvrbk
Yes, exactly. I almost exclusively use True Value Hardware or Ace Hardware because they have a great selection of metric and imperial hardware. You can bring your bolts in and check them on their thread checker. Find what you need and buy the quantity you need. Very convenient. 1 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
I left the outer ends of the 'bumper' disconnected as the slightest bump distorts them and if bolted to the fender, fucks them up as well. The 620 'bumper' and valance are basically a crumple zone and a strong breeze fucks them up. 1 Quote Link to comment

I appreciate all of the insight and yes indeedy, the previous bumper that was on the truck (when I purchased it) had only 1 end attached (poorly) and both bumper & valance had lots of twists and dents throughout... currently (with a nicer bumper than what I had), each outer-end sticks-out about 3/4s of an inch, so in a perfect world, I will try to attach with lots of quality rubber in between and hope for the best... Thank you everyone again for the help & insight!... Edited April 13 by Almuerto typo Quote Link to comment
