  Is this the last active forum in the USA for datsuns?  Is facebook the only spot to talk datsun?

Could be better if new members didn't have so much trouble joining. It's being looked at. I was just at The 510 Realm and it's quiet. Used to check in every few days, now it's maybe once a month. At the moment

Are on line and 625 'guests'. Most guests are bots clambering to get in.

There was Japanese Nostalgic Car, but I believe they quashed the discussion board.  I look in there about every three years.

Facebook is full of the same 5 questions repeated over and over. This is the encyclopedia. 

Obviously social media is easier to access, easier to post pictures, etc. But this is still the real deal IMO. Most of the answers have been asked, answered, and indexed. But yeah, if it was easier to join, that would make it more active.. lol.

I’m guessing ChatGPT has learned to simply scan this forum for answers to all questions about Datsuns.

The answers are like gold, you have to do some digging to get to it and get it out. Old timers use forums, the newer generations use social media. The younger ones have terrible spelling* and worse punctuation and they often can't even explain what they want properly (again punctuation would help) but the worst is their reading and comprehension skills. I give clear (to me) instructions of what to do such as " lift the rear wheels off the ground and..." and within a couple of posts they ask... "should I raise the rear wheels?"

 

* I won't spend all day correcting spelling gibberish but I will correct the titles of posts so that a search engine can home in on it. Titles such as "Break Question" Would turn up in every search on brakes, wasting  everyone's time if looking for information on say, the 620 NLSV. Instead "210 Rear Brake Shoe Question" narrows it down. 

 

But I digress...
