datzenmike
A lot of transmission and differential gaskets are no longer available. Just use a sealer. 1 Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
I haven't watched it, but it should show you how to make your own if you don't want to use sealer by itself. There are other ways to make the holes, but these are cheap and work well. Put the gasket down on something fairly soft....like wood. If you put the gasket on concrete, you'll ruin the edge quickly. If you decide to use just sealant, make the nicest bead you can and let it dry for a few minutes before you install it. I'm sure there's YT vids showing how to use just sealant. 1 Quote Link to comment
pidge
I’ve used the Permatex stuff on my older Frontier. Follow the instructions about set up time and you’ll be good. -Pidge 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
On smaller items I use a dollar store hole punch and scissors. Trace out on a sheet of gasket material or even a cereal box. My thermostat cover, water pump and oil pump are all from a Cheerio box. 1 Quote Link to comment
Slow Loris
You can buy these if you really want the cork. Confirm your own fitment https://datsunparts.com/collections/transmission-4-speed/products/datsun-roadster-4-speed-transmission-inspection-cover-gasket Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I looked there didn't find that. The Roadster 4 speed should work. Same as the PL510/610/710/A10 and '73 620. Quote Link to comment
Slow Loris
Worked perfectly on mine! Quote Link to comment
Draker
Used right stuff on my engine oil pan, no gasket. Worked great so far. Got tired of the cork gaskets leaking all the time. Quote Link to comment
