Do you have air conditioning?

I don't think these style electrical plugs were used on the '84 but they switched in '86. The '86 alternator switched to this style. Maybe your donor was a later '86 engine?

Built in Japan or Tennessee, technically an import. If your VIN starts with J it was made in Japan if I then assembled in USA.

no i do not have AC.

Why are you so worried about the green wire?

The only needed ones are the choke wire and the idle-solenoid wire

just trying to connect everything that's to be connected, and i think this is why the fuel pump doesn't run off its own wiring.

For the fuel pump to work there are several things that need to happen for the fuel pump relay to be on. There must be oil pressure and the alternator must be charging.

You can by pass the fuel pump relay by unplugging the FP relay and jumpering the Blue wire and the White/Black wire

Whoa! Good catch! I've never seen that wiring setup before, although I'm much more familiar with the feedback version of this carburetor with the 6 wire/8 plug harness. That makes finding a replacement idle cut solenoid a little annoying. All the replacements I've seen have the same type of connector crimped onto both wires.

yeah i would have to cut and re-crimp the connection.

fuel pump works now that the choke and cutoff solenoid is working now with the green white wire.
