Unless poly has changed, it's too stiff. Rubber grips both parts and can twist internally while poly has to slip and chafe causing squeaks and ovaling of the holes.  Tension rod bushings are so non compliant that the tension rod has to bend around it leading to metal fatigue and possible failure.

Rubber is also far far superior for vibration isolation. Only thing I would use poly on is the sway bar.

Tension rod bushings also used on the 210 and the 720

Transverse link bushing is also on the 1200 and the 210

Front and rear shackle bushings are also on the 610 wagon, all 710s, 810/Maxima wagons.

Again, get rubber ones.

While I prefer rubber, as well, I recently replaced all the wearable front end parts in a hot rod I have.  The only parts available were urethane.  I ordered control arm bushings from a few companies, and discovered some are softer and have some "give" to them. I used those and have had good results.  If you google "custom suspension bushings" you'll find there are quite a few companies that will make custom bushings.  IIRC, the cost wasn't too bad.  I also found a local spring shop that carries a line of generic bushings, and they had a few that I used.  You might try a local shop and see if they offer something like that.

I restored a 510 wagon a few years ago, and the tension rod rubber bushings were fine, so I did not replace them.

With urethane bushings, there is a special grease.  I ordered a small tub of it from Summit Racing and applied it very liberally.  It will prevent squeaks and (presumably) slows down friction wear.  On the 510 wagon, I used a few urethane bushings where I had to, and had no problems.
