Ssxa
Hi everyone... Got a set of 13x6 SSR MK3's to replace the Panasports on my car. Went to test fit them today and they do not fit. The back of the rims hit the "hat" area of the calipers. I'm new to Datsuns and have never seen calipers that look like this. I'm thinking about grinding off the area circled on the calipers to get the rims to clear. Are these front disc stock for my car? Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
The hub area is almost flat on the back side But then the Mark IIs that I had are even flatter, and still fit. Are you sure it's contacting the caliper? Maybe it is the center hole not clearing the hub? Quote Link to comment
Ssxa
I'd have to check again, but I was pretty sure it was the part that protrudes out from the caliper hitting the back side of the wheel. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
mY ssr was wrong offset and barely hit strut tube on my 510. i had to put longer studs and got a 1/4 in spacer Edited September 15, 2025 by banzai510(hainz) Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Datsun 1200 wheels had a 73mm hub bore hole, if I recall correctly, but only need 71mm Old SSR was only 69mm? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Yoke. There should be a mark where they rub. If so, grind away. Quote Link to comment
