Are these stock front disc brakes for my 1973 1200 Coupe

Hi everyone... Got a set of 13x6 SSR MK3's to replace the Panasports on my car. Went to test fit them today and they do not fit. The back of the rims hit the "hat" area of the calipers. I'm new to Datsuns and have never seen calipers that look like this. I'm thinking about grinding off the area circled on the calipers to get the rims to clear. Are these front disc stock for my car?

Yes, those are the stock brakes, with the 12/14 Annette caliper

The hub area is almost flat on the back side

But then the Mark IIs that I had are even flatter, and still fit. Are you sure it's contacting the caliper? Maybe it is the center hole not clearing the hub?

I'd have to check again, but I was pretty sure it was the part that protrudes out from the caliper hitting the back side of the wheel.

mY ssr was wrong offset and barely hit strut tube on my 510. i had to put longer studs and got a 1/4 in spacer

Datsun 1200 wheels had a 73mm hub bore hole, if I recall correctly, but only need 71mm

 

Old SSR was only 69mm?

There should be a mark where they rub. If so, grind away.
