SKYBLEW
I found these NOS shocks yesterday, labeled 48531-35820. Free lenght is 21.0", the valving, feels good, pretty heavy, I measured my old shocks at 22" FL, plenty of compression and rebound, gas charge still working, I calculated the working height to be about 18.0". On-line research shows a close part number, not exact, belongs to the Corolla family, probably the EA86. I'm sure their fine to work with my genuine BRE rear springs, just wondering if the community has seen these shocks before? Secondly I also picked up 2 48521-35880 shocks, waaay too short for our rear application, free lenght of 13.5" which makes a working lenght probably 9.0" Lastly, how can I share images off my phone? I only see insert from URL available. Quote Link to comment

Then add the photo URL to the reply imgur.com does not require an account, it will ask you to create one, but ignore that and upload the photo without creating an account After you have made 26(?) posts then Ratsun allows direct photo uploads Edited August 17, 2025 by ggzilla Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Corolla has direct-acting shocks. The 510 has leveraged shocks, about 2:1 so presumably the shock valving will be much heavier compared to Corolla. With BRE springs, you might want even heavier valving again That being said, they probably will be much better than worn-out shocks By "free length" do you mean compressed length or extended length?
