I’m refreshing the suspension on my ‘77 280Z and need advice on where to score solid deals. Goal: Quality parts for aggressive street/canyon driving, but I’m trying to avoid Techno Toy Tuning (personal preference—no drama, just exploring alternatives).

Budget: $1,000–$1,800 (for shocks/springs/sways/bushings).
Needs:

• Coilovers OR lowering springs + performance struts.

• Front/rear sway bars

• Full bushing kit (poly or OEM+).

 

Priorities:

The strut tube is 2" OD you can buy coil over sleeves and adjusters from eBay very reasonable the go to any racing parts supply and get 2.25" ID 225# 8" tall springs and make your own. My plasma cutting shops can cut you a pair of weld on rings for under your adjuster sleeve. you can buy shocks from just about any parts place like Napa auto.
