95 EGR Delete

Recommended Posts

So I have a 95 that I did an EGR delete on and I plugged the bung holes from the exhaust side (as I put aftermarket headers on it.) got rid of the mess that’s on the driver fender, plugged the plate for the EGR. I’m just curious on what vacuum lines I need to plug or leave unplugged. Some posts I’ve seen stated all you need is 2 lines- one for the fuel pressure regulator and the other for the brake booster but others say different.. Truck is running a bit rough and I’m curious if others have had any luck with this issue. Thanks!

I ran mine for years with brake booster hose disconnected. So it isn't "needed", but it took a lot of leg pressure to stop. Brakes were much better with it connected

For a rough idle, examine all the hose ends for cracks or splits and replace as necessary

I didn't take off the brake booster hose. My truck came with it disconnected. When I finally hooked it up, it was so much nicer to drive

My truck also wasn't EFI. But I did have vehicles with the vacuum line to the fuel regulator, so keep that. I would have that that a KA24 would have a MAP sensor vacuum hose as well?

Over the years I've learned that most Nissan vacuum hoses serve a purpose, and so don't general try to "get rid of them". That's when a lot of problem start 🙂
