Bill is a genius. My stock carb runs better than ever.

I know it's not Seatle, but perhaps you can ship it. I know it's hard to find people who know how to work on carbs these days.

If you don’t have to worry about emissions, just replace it with a Weber.

I was of the same mind-set (Weber).....after putting on a Weber, I wish that I woulda had my stock carb rebuilt.

What do you not like about the weber? I installed one to replace the stock hitachi and the carb is much less finicky, has more power, and starts much better than the hitachi ever did as well as getting way better gas mileage. I went from 18mpg to 20mpg as long as I can keep my foot out of it and I installed a 3in lift after the weber and still get 20mpg.

What carburetor do you have? I'm super close to uploading my disassembly video but it's for a DFP384 carb for the Z24 engine.

dissembly vid is ez. the reassembly is the hard part and run perfect. i like the smoothness of the stock carb and air cleaner. Weber is simple .cheap but loud.

I don't keep all that close track of mileage.  AFAIK, it is the same.  AGAIK, the power is the same.

 

It started better before....and it didn't run-on.

run on is from not getting the weber IC version with the idle cut off selinoid like the stock carb has. this is a common issue on later datsuns w open chamber heads and cheap 87 oct.
