Hitachi carbourettor identification

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

We have recently purchased a SII landrover 2.25 with what i believe to be a Hitachi DCH carbourettor. however, I am coming up short with finding out what model it may be. There are no stampings or engravings which seem to be helping either. As these are common in Datsuns, I am hoping one of the kind people here may be able to identify the model type? Any help / ideas / leads would be great;y appreciated! Many thanks in advance!

It kinda looks like a DCH or maybe Nikki, does it have the Hitachi logo cast into the aluminium anywhere?

The problem with both brands are the model number is inked on the body, and so can rub off. You might try carefully cleaning the glass to see if it says Nikki etched there

All the Datsun DCH I've seen have rectangular flange, unlike your photos. But Hitachi supplied carburettors to other makes
