mikeanct
I’ve got a 620, runs great with the Weber on it, I would like to put the stock air cleaner on top of it to hook up all the little air line bits and bobs. I could probably jimmy rig an adapter, as I have seen some do on this site (though not sure about on 620s.) I have seen some online ready fabbed to connect Weber to stock air cleaner that seem a bit chunky. Will these fit under the hood? Would make my life easier. Thx Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
i had one that fit the 521 aircleaner but a had a tall weber carb to intake. the mounts to intake holes were off cause air cleaner assembly is higher. I went w the weber aircleaner. Mklotz on here has a templet to cu the lower housing to match carb. Quote Link to comment
ducky
I have one on my truck right now. It raises the cleaner body up too much to screw into the manifold bracket and is extremely close to the hood when closed, but it does work for me Quote Link to comment
Stinky
Somewhere on here is a guy's post where he made an adapter and then welded it into the stock air filter. I took a gasket to a place that does water-jet cutting. They cut out the gasket, but w/a circle around it. The circle is, about, 5-6 inches. I plan to cut the center out of my housing and then weld it in. This will give me a real air filter and a cold air intake. Quote Link to comment
Ooph!
I have a Weber with an adapter on one of mine. It does move it higher very close to the hood so you might need to make a new support bar to replace the stock air cleaner support, but you won't have to chop up your stock air cleaner. https://www.californiadatsun.com/carburetor-parts/weber-32-36-dgev-adapter.html Quote Link to comment
