I've spent too many decades ignoring Kent, now that I live here I should start paying attention ... that reminds me. back in 86 or so I saw an ad in the newspaper for a 71 Datsun, I went to check it out at the new Kent Commons. It was fantastic. No, not the building but the flawless dark blue Coupe with a complete Quickor suspension package. I shoulda bought it, but $2000 was big money back then Yeah . if you head to freeway going south on marine view drive, you turn right (south bound) onto 99, and it's like a mile or less on the East side of road . . ggzilla
Next to arrive was @Fat510 I was very surprised to see this 1200 up here. In 2003, I looked at it for sale in Auburn i think it was. That's when i met Icehouse who was selling it. I passed on it, but @gpimm from Portland bought it and turned it into a rallycross racer, with wide tires and an insane amount of caster 225/45-13 Toyo R888 tires on 8" Bassett wheels covered by 3" 240Z ZG flares. This 1200 is lowered right down May 2003 photo bolt-on Datsun fender flares with the @Morrisun / @mklotz70 1200 big brake upgrade which uses the lightweight 1200 struts with larger disc and caliper Instead of a radio, it has an Innovate Air/Fuel Ratio meter, VDO oil pressure gauge, and a serial port (?) 3 Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
And another 411 from the south sound, was this JJ's car? with 186/60R14 tires and VTO rims lookin' sharp late 411 taillights, Gus Collins Datsun license plate frame, and a trailer hitch? Collins Datsun was on Westlake where the Amazon building is now Italian styling literally above all modern cars 2 1 Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
And first to arrive was @Bleach with his 1978 280Z ANSA exhaust. I think Downtown Datsun was on Capitol Hill? definition of sports car, the best selling for 20 years until the Miata came along And a stunning straight-six OHC engine (with EFI from 1975-1978) 3 1 Quote Link to comment
