Big_Vic04
Hey, curious as I'm swaping early 510 t3 suspension into my hl510. I plan as of right now to use my hl510 calipers (which fit) and rotors/hubs. I think the hl510/a10 wheelbearings fit from memory but I'm just double checking before I take my a10 apart again and don't have the right parts. Should I buy early 510 wheel bearings? Should I just let it rip? Whats some opinions Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Does the T3 include the stock strut. If you are talking about the 510 stock strut???? The 510 strut spindle used a smaller inner wheel bearing 40210-A800. All 610/710/S10/A10 the B210 (switched in '74) and everything after, use an upgraded larger bearing. 40210-A0100 I assume that the 510 hub is also sized to take the smaller bearing? or its the spindle that is different. See this is where I'm not 100%sure, I bought the pre built 510 coils from t3 there for a 68-72 car, i kinda half assembled them before realizing the spindle nuts change and throwing my a10 back together. I might just buy the early wheel bearings and see if the outter race is the same size as my hl510 hubs, if not I guess I'm finding early hubs too Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Just measure yours. Pop the dust cover off and look HLA10 40215-A0100 OUTER WHEEL BEARING 45.2 mm O.D. PL510 40215-21000 outer bearing 39.0mm O.D What does the T3 measure? Quote Link to comment

If it's add on stuff to the stock strut tube then swap it to the A10. If the T3 is the entire strut tube and spindle/hub it probably has the up graded bearing. One of my '84 Maxima strut wheel bearings was growling. I pulled one from and old '74 710 strut. Perfect fit and still on there. Quote Link to comment
