Fuel sending unit for my 520

Hi All, 

I am in need of a fuel sending unit for my 520 / 1300. Does anyone know where I can source one? All help appreciated in advance.

That's a hard one sometimes...

I think the 520 and 521 have the same tank...

This has what I believe is the correct arm for my 521 but I don't have that pipe... I bought one that was supposed to be for the 521 and it wasn't close .... This one is expensive and the only 1 I saw... and I'm not saying it's correct but it could be...  I'd recommend removing yours for visual comparison, mostly about the arm.

Have you test to make sure it's not the gauge?

 

Have you tried to clean yours?

That one looks correct for the 520 and 521 before they got the evap tank, then it's a different sender.

I sent him a 520 tank(no evaporation system connection on tank), I tested the gauge on my 521 work truck as I can lift the bed to access the tank/wires as it has a dump bed, the test I did showed the 521 gauge moving up and down as I moved the sender arm up and down, I was very careful not to touch any of the internal wires in the unit, they are old and could break.

 

Sender units need great grounds to work, they also need good clean connections, I discussed this with the member here today via messaging as he reached out to me.
