Carburettor identification

Picked up what I'm hoping is a webber 32/36 to go on my z24, I tried to google the tags but cannot figure out what it is. It certainly looks like one to me, with I'm guessing a water choke. Any opinions on the water choke as well, are they easy to plumb in and good or should i try and switch it to electric or even manual?

Water choke 32/36 I think. The inscriptions always on the base.

If you want a manual choke version I might be willing to do a trade. Mine does need a new master rebuild, not sure about yours.

Edit: I see you're in Australia I don't think that I could offer a decent trade because of shipping and exchange rates unfortunately. My bad.

You can fit a different type of choke on it pretty easily if you prefer that.

Water choke??? I've seen them on Fords like the Pinto (I think) I can't think of anything that would be using that today thus that carburetor is very old.

Measure the bores. 1.24" / 1.4" or 1  1/4" / 1  13/32"

Pigwarrior: What engine do you have in your 720? If an L series the water exiting the intake manifold could be plumbed through the choke and back out and on it's way to the thermostat by pass. If Z series you would have to plumb it into the return line under the intake.

Yeah I think it is quite old says made in spain, Ill measure the bores later, it will hopefully be going onto a z24 but worst case it doesnt look too bad to change it over to electric or manual choke but im not sure which one is the best water choke seems pretty cool in my opinion.

Old doesn't mean it doesn't work, just ask my wife! Old might mean it has wear in the throttle shaft and almost certainly the accelerator pump diaphragm is bad by now. Can still work.

Yeah definitely agree, thats why im restoring a 40 year old truck lol 😆, definitely gonna give it a good rebuild, the water parts definitely been  run without anticorrosive coolant sadly though but should come up good enough
