KA24DE questions

I'm starting a KA24DE swap into a 510 and have some part compatibility questions. The last time I did this swap was close to 20 years ago and parts were more easily found.

I sourced a KA24DE with lower mileage but it has been stripped of all of the ancillary parts.

No distributor, MAF, throttle body, alt and even the engine mounts are gone. Of course no ECM or transmission.

This of course has left me scrambling for a bunch of parts that people think are made from solid gold.

I have a large collection of D21 trucks but they are more than an hour from me. I would like to use truck parts if possible including the shorter manual transmission as I have several.

I say all of this to ask a couple of questions.

(1) Do the KA24E motor mounts bolt to the DE block?

I have to modify the crossmember anyway but don't want to drive 2hrs to pull parts if they won't at least bolt to the block.

(2) The truck transmission will bolt to the DE, but I vaguely remember something about starter issues. Anyone care to elaborate?

Everything else is DE specific as far as I can tell, but these two thing will save time an energy if they work.

If it's out of a D21, pull the throttle body chamber off, make a 1/4" thick aluminum plate adapter that will take a Weber 32/36. The 'distributor' on the KAs are really  CASs (crank angle sensors) so get a L20B matchbox distributor and spindle to replace it. You'll need to bolt it on and mark out the second hole and tap it for the other bolt. A 3 PSI electric fuel pump, though there is a space on the head casting that could be bored out and a mechanical L series pump and eccentric installed I believe. That's pretty much it and no EFI electronics to trouble-shoot and drive after the EMP/zombie apocalypse.

Interesting... Good info, but this is from a 240SX.

I had no idea that parts were either crazy expensive or hard to get for the 240SX KA when I decided to do another one of these swaps.
