Here is the North American Weber with the black  choke I bought many moons ago.See the idle cut off solenoid on it.It came with the Weber back then.See the date that is on the picture from my Kodak Camera.Where I work.If you look close at them, they are not identical, bottom one is a Redline, the real deal.Other one had a sticker on it but it ran good.I was a member of 720 World  back then.

Nice job, love the stickers, I'll have to get some for mine. Curious if anyones got any opinions over buying a good brand one like redline over the Chinese made cheapo ones, the redlines gonna cost me upwards of 800 AUD whereas I can get a cheapo knockoff for under 200 bux is a redline gonna be 4x as good?

As you see on my Weber, the front 3 parts that screw in have black silicone around it.2 have aluminum washers and bid center has nothing. They will leak and go under the carb, you may not see the leak, but run your finger under it and you will have fuel on your finger.I have a bunch of extra washers that is suppose to stop the leak, the big part with the little fuel filter in it leaks, the most.I neven bought another plug and it still leaks. The silicone works. The little fuel filter is too long, when you take the plug off the filter is crushed..Needs to be 1.5 mm shorter.

Well a carburetor can have endless problems and/or  leave to stranded in the outback I guess, so substitute parachute for Weber knock off carburetor. Now consider these two things... One is you usually get what you pay for. The other is 'Made in China' 'nuff said.

Get the Redline K-646.83 -86 720.Are the Australia engines like ours here in the States.About 380 here plus shipping.Try Pierce Manifold.com about the best price.Get the one with the kit .Maybe a Empi idle cut off solenoid with the big.155 jet and o ring. They are on Ebay.

Yeah the engines are the same except most of the heads on the napzs are single spark plugs

Fair enough I guess lol, but Im almost of the mind I could literally carry 3 spare knock offs for the price but probably best to 'buy once and cry once'

If you don't make your own gasket that goes under the base plate. You have to buy the gasket kit.The one at the bottom right is what goes under the base plate. It's not sold separate.I had to buy this kit before to get it.99005.336.The bottom left one I don't use.If you need a new E clip that hold your choke linkage together,Harbor freights variety pack doe not fit. Here is the part number.10140.501.They are 79 cent. They are between 1/16 and 1/8 inch. The size in Harbor's Freight kit I have.May be metric since the Weber's are made in Spain.
