SSS carburetors and the 1600 Roadster have only 2 mounting bolts and are 38mm throttle. The SSS carburetors come in round and flattop. The SSS carburetors are mirror image L&R fuel bowls while the 1600 Roadster carburetors are identical. The Roadster 2000 and early Z car SUs have 4 mounting bolts, though I think they will still fit with two bolts. The Z car SUs are 46mm don't remember what the Roadster used on the 2000.

Here's my flattop SUs. As I understand it the flattops were used on very late L16SSS and L18SSS.

On the left one is a large adjusting screw. The hoses are missing but the top on likely went to the stock air filter and the bottom one connected both carburetors. Purpose, unknown. They are usually removed and an aluminum cover plates put on to 'de-smog' them. The red cap is the vacuum advance. This is how it came to me with the choke cables cut just like a wrecking yard in Japan would do when exporting the engine they were on. The intake is marked K14 and has a PCV valve below the blue cap.
