FXRS-DRTBAG
Have rough idle/engine shake. Work done: new plugs/wires, cap rotor, fuel filter, rerouted all vacuum lines. Issues: mixture screw unresponsive to adjustments, running very rich Fuel is at half on sight glass, timing is around -3° BTDC, both coils have spark (one dramatically stronger than the other). Choke fully disengaged at operating temp. Carb rebuild looks like an absolute nightmare so I was hoping maybe I'm looking over something simple. Please help! Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Did this roughness just start recently? Like when the plugs and wires were changed?? Important that you answer this question. Timing must be +3 degrees or Before Top Dead Center. Not -3 One coil seems to have better spark? Switch the wiring on the + and - terminals to the other coil so that the intake coil is now the exhaust side coil.... Did the stronger spark change to the other coil??? Quote Link to comment
DwayneOxford
Check vacuum hoses, do vacuum gauge test. Quote Link to comment
