Pounding Rox Truck Shop
Morning folks, I found a nice pair of Datsun 521 doors off a truck being parted out. I have bought parts from the guy a bunch of times and he is top notch. The problem is he is in CA and I am in NY. Amtrak and Greyhound no longer offer shipping services after Covid so that leaves me only pricey options. Unless someone on the East Coast has a set of rust free doors, color don't matter, I have to figure out how to get these across the USA and not cost twice what I paid for the whole truck. Any ideas? Not many spare 521 parts up our way.... I have only heard of and seen 1 521 in a pick and pull in 15 years.... I'm over in Massachusetts.... I do know it still has a door because I wanted to buy it for the internals and hinges... he will only sell the door complete, but I don't think it was in that good of shape.... If you really need the doors you might have to pay up for it.... probably not what you wanted to hear but it's sometimes the reality with these trucks... I think paid more to get a bed for my truck than I did to buy 2 datsuns so it happens... What about a transport company? Maybe some one is bringing a vehicle from California and could bring them too.... 1 Quote Link to comment
Pounding Rox Truck Shop
We tried that. I had a coworker go to Moab and I tried shipping from CA to UT and it was still silly. If I have to pony up so be it, I just want to keep the cost down as much as I can. Quote Link to comment

demo243
Did you check Fastenal? I’ve never used it- but they used to location to location shipping for bulky items. Quote Link to comment
