PsychoNaut04
As stated, the odometer has increased 1k miles in a span of just 2 weeks. Im not sure if the tire size may have anything to do with it. But any tips would be greatly appreciated. I purchased a speedometer pinion which I will install this weekend. Quote Link to comment

Tire size definitely will effect it if they are not the original size..... How is your miles per hour? You can check that with a GPS app... And you can verify actual mileage on the highway using the highway markers... Easier with help.... As you pass a mile marker.... Note the marker number and your odometer.... drive a few miles by the mile markers then record your odometer after a set difference..... The difference is what you need to correct.... What did you get for a speedometer pinion? How did you determine what one you needed? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
What is your usual mileage??? If 50 miles then yes it's odd if 900 then not so odd. Unless you changed tire size recently then it's not speedometer error and you would have had to go down to 12" tall tires to make any difference. Do you have a teenager that uses your truck??? They will travel vast undisclosed distances for girls/boys. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
