Oil pressure seems low but might be within specs anyways?

On my Z24ET i ran a ka24 oil pump(the high volume one) and i logged oil pressure across the rev range. Now after that one ate a valve I run a junkyard z22 with the efi and turbo and it seems oil pressure is a consistent 1 bar lower at all rpms(14psi). Basically its around .8 bar at idle and maxing out at 3.5-3.7. 5

(50ish psi)

FSM says pressure should be a minimum 3.5 at 3000 rpms so its within spec even though just barely.

Just wondering would you have done anything with it or just let it be. Because I suppose I could put the ka pump in if i felt like it...

If you have a KA oil pump the idle pressure should be 30 PSI or better. If significantly lower than 30 PSI idle pressure, then expect worn or excessive main and rod bearing clearance, or the turbo oil line needs a restrictor. The KA pump should easily reach maximum 50-60 PSI no matter how shot your main and rod bearings are.

No I have a standard Z22 oil pump. The KA pump is on the engine that was taken out. Question is if I should man up and fit the KA pump or just let it be since although it's low it's stil within the factory specs albeit on the low side of the spectrum

But seriously, if it builds pressure off idle (revved up) it's more than likely just fine.

Picks right up and increases linearly with manymany BARS!
