Going to see if they will still honor the lifetime warranty tomorrow. If not Rockauto will be getting an order. Hopefully I can get this sorted tomorrow as with the nicer weather I'd like to do some more test drives this weekend. Still waiting on license plate and tags to show up too. Update: well they don't stock that alternator anymore as the part number is discontinued. However, they were able to find the transaction from 2013, which I was wrong wasn't a purchase receipt but instead was from the last time I warrantied the alternator. Anyways the guy hooked me up and found an equivalent model alternator and got it shipped in to pickup tomorrow morning. For some price comparisons: the Ultima reman 14255 cost $49.99 when I bought however long ago, cost $84.99 in 2013 when I warranty returned it and today they returned it for an alternator that is $169.99. 🤣 Edit Update 2: New alternator installed and holding at 14.5v..very nice. Dguy210 Posted April 19 Author Report Share Posted April 19 (edited) Been a nice day out so tearing around the back roads in the 510 doing shake down runs. Basically just minor stuff at this point, been running pretty well and the Z22 is surprisingly peppy. Feel pretty confident I could probably just get in the car and drive somewhere at this point.
