standard single points will do fine. 68-69 USA spec. which is like more common in Europe as in 70 and later they went to a dual point system which I didnt like and points are different size

I would get a Pertronix ignition myself and get a spare later

take a photo. Get a L16 as the cap is smaller than the later L18/ L20 caps distributors. But really any L motor distributor can be used if you have the whole set up.

All distributors do the same job but just about every application is different in how the vacuum and centrifugal advance is applied. This is demonstrated by the innumerable distributors available for a single engine for a single year. Mostly it's emission related. Dual points (later opening) simply allow the choice of retarded timing (again for emissions) Unless you want 'numbers matching' parts it won't matter much what you use.

I have a SSS distributor for sale if it's of any interest at all. The body of it has been polished, looks lovely.

I am in the UK, so postage to France wouldn't be a problem.

Let me know if it's something you might be interested in.

Cheers,

JK
